Hi Guys
Can anyone recommend a good used spares specialist in Norway ?
I'm looking for a set of wheel arch trims for my Classic 900 1993 which has the wider trim 30mm.
These are like hens teeth now in England.
Good second hand is fine
Best Regards
Midge

Hi!
Unfortunately we don't have a specialist in used spares in Norway.
In fact we buy mostly of our new and used spares from dealers and SAAB-people in UK and Sweden...
The wheel arch trims you are searching is that the standard arches that came on the M92 and M93's, or the even wider accessories wheel arches?
Both of them is hard to find in Norway too, but maybe you have luck and someone has someting to offer.

Ps. Used parts and accessories is most common to find on the norwegian site called finn.no
If you use
this link, you should be able to look for parts in Norway. It's sorted by date, so you kan click it whenever you want to update.
You must register to see contact info, if that's a problem, post it here

Hi
Thanks for the replies guys, I'll have a look at that link you sent me. Parts in Sweden are also difficult to find in my experience. They seem to scrap stuff very quickly over there but then it's also difficult to make or find contacts from outside of the country. The trim I want is 30mm wide at the apex. The older ones are narrower than that.
I'm also looking for a good used gear box with type 7 or 8 primaries

Are you looking for the Airflow type wheel arches? These are very rare, I bought a brand new set a couple of years ago and have not seen any since.
Ask Jørgen Eriksson at Erikssons TransmissionsTeknik for a gearbox, he might even have a #8 primary gearset. A friend of mine bought a gearbox from him with #8 primary last year.
Abbott in the UK is also a good source if you ask them (nothing on the website but they have good contacts).
Have you tried Neobrothers?

Hi Guys
Those aftermarket stainless steel arches are not nice reproductions, even when painted - I just don't like them.
I don't know if they're called airflow arches but what I do know is that they're 3cm wide at the apex of the curve. They're only found on the much later models from late '91 to '93. The Ruby edition has them. If I could load up a picture I'd show you but I don't see the photo attachment link on here ?
Abbott are now keeping their spares and looking for more for their C900 restores.
Neo brothers are a good source but they don't have what I want. Two stroke to Turbo are another source but they're a bit pricey. They wanted £6.00 or something for a very old piece of rubber/plastic trim that goes between the corner pieces on the bumper and the body
Thanks for the Jorgen Eriksson link I'll give him a buzz

Total agree, the aftermarket stainless steel doesn't look good. There is many different arches, the standard small up to M91, and the wider standard from M92 on EU-cars.
Then we have a even wider accessories arches, and to make if difficult there is three different lengths - one for standard trim, one for Aero trim and one for Airflow (Carlsson) trim. And "top of the range" a special one only for Airflow in PUR-RIM plastic. The Airflow/Carlsson arches is a bit shorter then the other, depending on the bigger bumpers.

Hi
I spoke to Jørgen Eriksson the other day and yes he builds to order. Takes some time though so I'll be contacting him next year. I've managed to find 3 wheel arch trims locally and pretty reasonable too. I just need one now for the right side front, drivers side over here, passenger side in Europe and Scandinavia.
Update 29/10 - Just got 2 second hand sets now
